Are you a prospector? Do you have all the tools to find gold in an insurance form and do you know a land mine when you see one? If you said no, then make plans to participate in FAIA's three hour continuing education course and discover the riches and roadblocks in ISO's ordinance or law endorsement.
The first stop during your three hour journey in the land of ordinance or law will identify and define key road signs such as building, zoning and land use ordinance or laws. Next you'll cross into the rugged terrain known as the reasons for coverage where you'll find out why this coverage is needed.
Your prospecting will then lead you over the hills and through valleys of coverage analysis and discover how this form has evolved and how the coverages apply. You'll want to be on solid ground when you cross into the fields of interest such as:
Which problems are solved by this form and which aren't? We'll map out some solutions for you here.
- The fork in the road: which coverage options should be taken?
- Demolition cost coverage vs. debris removal
- Increased cost of construction coverage
- And more!
Next you'll dig beneath the surface and discover how and what ordinances or laws have an impact on building owners in Florida. Finally, there will be a special excursion into the land of determining limits of insurance for ordinance or law. Here you'll scan the horizon of methods used to arrive at insurance limits and which method is best and which method is a mirage.
