Many of your personal and small commercial clients may be surprised to learn that their homeowners and renters policies specifically exclude losses from business activities. And when such losses occur, they can be devastating. Their business could be out of business - just like that. For example:

• A customer slips and falls on the insured’s premises, breaks a hip and sues.
  
• An insured returns home to discover the house, and the office, in flames.
  
• While at a trade show, your insured’s inventory is stolen from his van.
  

Now FAIA is offering a course designed to educate you on the coverage options and risk management of home based businesses. In this four-hour class, Home-Based Business, we’ll look at what coverage is provided in the homeowners and auto policies - for every business from accountants to zoologists.

This course requires an online exam. Upon purchasing the course, the online exam is included in the purchase price.

Once you buy the course, you have 120 days to complete it and pass the exam with a score of 70% or higher. If you fail your exam, you'll have two chances to take it again within the same 120-day period.

This course has been approved by the Department of Financial Services for 4 hours of CE 2-20 General Lines (Property & Casualty), Course ID #39498.
