The FAIA "Highlights of Homeowners 2000 (ONLINE)" seminar course features FAIA instructors David Thompson and Jay Williams.

Insurance Services Office recently introduced the Homeowners 2000 program and it has been approved for use in almost all states. In Florida it was approved effective December 2001.

This new program can best be described as "hugely significant." There are over 50 changes, many of which result in new significant coverage gaps for many clients. There are changes for kids away at college, the motor vehicle exclusion, business pursuits, special limits of liability, and golf carts just to name a few.

New endorsements have been created for students away at school, golf carts, "live-in" situations, homes in the name of a trust, and relatives in an assisted living care facility.

The impact of this new program can cause your client much hardship come claim time. Completing this course will bring you up to speed on the most important changes under the HO2000 program and you'll finish the course knowing what you need to do to best protect your clients.

This course requires an online exam. Upon purchasing the course, the online exam is included in the purchase price.

Once you buy the course, you have 120 days to complete it and pass the exam with a score of 70% or higher. If you fail your exam, you'll have two chances to take it again within the same 120-day period.
