    Pharmacists

    Pharmacists licensed in Massachusetts must complete 15 hours (1.5 CEUs) of continuing pharmaceutical education every year (30 hours [3.0 CEUs] per two-year renewal period). No carry-over of credit is allowed from year to year. Of the 15 hours required per year, at least 2 hours shall be in the area of pharmacy law, at least 5 hours shall be from live programs, and not more than 10 hours shall be credited through correspondence courses.

    Certified Pharmacy Technicians

    Technicians who have been awarded the designation of Certified Pharmacy Technician by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board must complete a minimum of 20 hours of continued pharmaceutical education credit every two years in order to renew their certification.
